No doubt MIUI is the best UI when it comes to free themes. We can customise the home screen, lock screen, control centre and system UI separately. It means we can change the look and feel of the whole UI as per our interest. However, MIUI also has some restrictions, like we can't use navigation gestures with third-party launchers and we can't apply Third-party wallpaper to the lock screen with MIUI themes. And it really ruins the experience. But there is a trick to using Third-party wallpaper on lock screen with MIUI themes. But remember, this trick might not work on some Xiaomi, Redmi or Poco devices.
The Problem
Mui restricts its users from using third-party wallpapers on the lock screen with Mui themes. Whenever we try to apply a wallpaper to the lock screen a popup window appears saying "You're currently using a third-party theme. If you change your Lock screen wallpaper, this may cause the Lock screen clock style to be restored to default. Apply now?"
Application required
There is a trick to use Third-party wallpaper with MIUI themes on Lock, and to do that we need to install an app called "Z Archiver".
Install Zarchiver
Things to remember
Before starting the process of the trick. Just remember the lock screen wallpaper of the theme you want to use the third-party wallpaper with.
Step-by-step procedure
First of all open the ZArchiver app. Then find out the wallpaper you want to use on the lock screen > long press on the wallpaper and tap on copy > go back and go to Android folder > then data > now tap on the three lines on the top right corner and tap on hidden option to show the hidden folders > tap on "com.android.thememanager" > files > MIUI > theme > .data > content > scroll down a little and find the lock screen folder and open it > paste the wallpaper here.
Now we have to check all the files one by one. Just tap on the first file then tap on the "open" option to preview the file. Do it with all the files until you find the lock screen wallpaper of the theme. Now tap on this file then tap on the rename option and copy the name of the file and rename it to anything you want or delete the file.
Now tap on the picture you have pasted > tap on rename and paste the texts you have copied. Now go to the theme store and apply the theme. You will see the the picture you want on the lock screen instead of theme's wallpaper.
Remember: This theme might not work with some heavily customised lock screens or dynamic lock screen themes. You can try this trick with normal themes.
Xiaomi doesn't allow us to use Third-party wallpaper with MIUI themes on the Lock screen but using the above-mentioned steps you can do that. It is really a clever and easy solution to this problem. Now you can use custom wallpaper to lock the screen and give a personal touch to your Poco, Redmi or Xiaomi device. It is important to keep in mind that this trick may not be compatible with a few themes, like themes with dynamic lock screens or Highly customised themes. Now try this trick with different MIUI themes and customise MIUI in your own Way.
Sorry for my English 😅
Thank you and keep smiling 😊
